LIFE Shield offers caring and compassionate support for immigrants and refugees.

Immigration and Legal Services Program:

Represents applicants seeking political asylum, family-based immigration status, citizenship, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, Temporary Protected Status, relief under the Violence Against Women Act, and U visas for survivors of crime; also defends immigrants in deportation proceedings. 308 W. 46 Street, New York, NY 10036  212.265.1826  Fax 212.265.2238.

Refugee Resettlement Program:

Reception and placement services for refugees, including housing, paperwork support, employment and educational placement.

Post-Release Empowerment Program (PREP):

Supports asylum seekers who are released from immigration custody while their court proceedings are pending with housing and case management.

Safe Haven for Children Program:

Provides follow-up case management services to minors who arrive in the country without parents or guardians and who have been released to qualified sponsors in the New York Metropolitan area, pending their immigration court proceedings.
